Geography

Macedonia is located in Southeastern Europe, north of Greece. It's total land area is land 24,856 sq km, with an additional 477 sq km of water. The country is bordered by Albania, Bulgaria, Greece, Serbia and Montenegro.

Macedonia's mountainous territory is covered with deep basins and valleys; three large lakes, each divided by a frontier line; country bisected by the Vardar River.

Climate: The Macedonian climate is warm, dry summers and autumns and relatively cold winters with heavy snowfall.
