Tourism is very imporant to Egypt. The number of visitors peaked in 2010 at 14.7 million. In the following yearst he numbers decreased to approximately 9.5 million a year, rising to 13 million in 2019 before Covid. In 2020 Egypt only had 3.7 million visitors
