Geography

Ecuador is located inWestern South America, bordering the Pacific Ocean at the Equator, between Colombia and Peru. Its terrain consists of a coastal plain (costa), inter-Andean central highlands (sierra), and flat to rolling eastern jungle (oriente). Climate: Ecuador is tropical along the coast becoming cooler inland.
