April 1st Battles with the Republican Guard.
US forces took on the Republican guard division on the road to Baghdad. The Third Infantry Division advanced and US forces overwhelmed the Iraqi forces. US forces suffered minor casualties. Further south US forces routed out opposition in Al Nassariya.
