March 27th- The Northern Front Opens.
The day began with the airborne drop of 1000 paratrooppers into Northern Iraq, thus officially opening the Northern Front.
Allied forces continues to meet resistance in Southern Iraq. Battles continued to rage around Nasiriya, where Iraqi irregulars continued to assualt American forces. The main forces who nearest Baghdad began to regroup and prepare for the final assualt on the city. With the weather much improved the number of close air missions flown increased dramatically,.
