March 24th Continued Advance.
The advance towards Baghdad continuied. The first attack on the Medina division of the Republican Guard by Apache attack helicopters met unexpectedly strong opposition and one Apache was lost. Continued fighting went on around Basra. Allied air attacks continued throughout Iraq.
