March 23rd- Continued Advance.

An American supply convoy was ambushed in Southern Iraq resulting in over 10 deaths and 5 Americans taken hostage including Private Lynch. American units continued to advance North towards Baghdad. Sandstorms began to effect operations. The 101st Airborne Division established an advanced base somewhere west of Baghdad. A British Tornado fighter was accidentally shot down by a US Patriot missile. 872 air attacks were launched against Iraqi forces.
