March 22nd- The Ground War Continues.
US troops led by the Army V Corps seizes Talil and gains control of a crossing on the Euphrates River, and continue their march North towards Baghdad. Meanwhile, the outskirts of Basra were captured by US Marines while the British were assigned the task of achieving the surrender of the Basra. The US continued the air offensive against Iraqis launching 878 air sorties.
