December 13 th - Saddam captured by members of the 4 th infantry division. Saddam was found hiding in the ground in Tikrit.
December 24 th - Christmas celebration were interrupted by intense rocket and bomb attack aimed at collation targets throughout the country. Four American soldiers and six Iraqis were killed.
December 27 th Four coordinated suicide attacks took place against coalition and Iraqi forces . They attacked the Polish and Bulgarian forces as well . A total of four coalition soldiers and nine Iraqis were killed. More then 100 soldiers and civilians were wounded.
