Nominated: William J Bryan, of Florida for President.

Nominated: John W Kern of Indiana for Vice President.

After the dismal showing of Parker in the 1904 elections the democratic party was ready once again to turn to the progressive wing of the party. That meant turning once again to Bryan to become the nominee. He won on the first ballot.
