1938 Boeing Unveils Its Stratoliner
On December 31st, Boeing Aircraft flight tested its newest aircraft- the Stratoliner. The aircraft, the first to have a pressurized cabin could fly highter than any other passenger aircraft. It had a cruising altitudte of between 14,000 and 20,000 feet. TWA placed an initial order for the planes and was the only airline to fly them before the war.
