The History

1962 Boeing 727 Flown

On February 2nd Boeing flew its first Boeing 727 aircraft. The plane was designed to operate on smaller- runways, typically 5,000 feet on which piston aircraft were being flown. The 727 went on to be one of the most successful jets. Boeing sold a total of 1, 832 of the aircraft.
