Boeing Aquires McDonald Douglas

In 1997the Boeing company aquired the McDonnel Douglas aircraft thus combining the two largest US aerospace companis and ended the many decades competition between the two companies commercial aircraft divisions. Boeing was particularly interested in aquiring the military division of Mcdonnel Douglas whose products include the F-15.
