DC-3 Introduced

Douglas Aircraft began manufacturing the DC-3. The DC-3 can carry 21 passengers. Its capacity revolutionized the air industry, insuring the profitability of the whole industry. The last DC-3 was produced in 1948. Many of the aircraft still fly today, over 50 years after their introduction.
