Day 59 of the Obama Administration

Day Sixty Four March 25, 2009

The President began his day with his daily economic briefing. He then went on to meet with NATO Secretary General Jaap de Hoop Scheffer. The meeting concentrated on the situation in Afghanistan.

After receiving his daily security briefing the President traveled to Capital Hill to meet with the Senate Democratic Caucus. His meeting focused on the budget. While on the Capital the President met with Congressional Represenatives from North Dakota to speak about the floods takiing place.

Late in the afternoon the President held a reception to commemorate Greek Independance Day.

In the evening the President went to two Demorcatic National Committee fundraisers. The first a smaller gathering took place at the National Women in the Arts Museum. The second a much larger meeting took palce at Warner Theater.
