A Logging Locomotive, 1893

This locomotive was built by Curtis Manufatturing Company of St Louis for logging purposes. It is designed for tracks where wooden ties were used for rails. The cylinders weer 7x10 inches and transimtted power to suplemental shafts which carried sprocket whieels tht tnsmitted powers to the driving wheels by means of chains. It was designed to go at speeds of 5 milies.
