Atlantic and Great Western 4-4-0 #70


This Atlantic and Great Western Railroad 4-4-0 #71 is shown in a picture taken by Goerge Rockwood of New York City at Jersey City Locomotive Works in 1865. The locomotive entered service on April 24 1865 It was a Six foot guage that burned either wood or coal . It weighed 65,000 pounds. It had 66 " drivers and had 16x24 cylinders.
