Sailor: Lee Roy Canupp Jr . Service Dates=1949-1951.

In 1950 we were on the way to Bremerton,Washington for yard work. It took use three and a half days to cross the gulf of Alaska We were in a storm the hole time. forty feet waves,60 degree yawe. We split a seam in toe bow and flooded the forward hole, So we were by the bow. We lost our Motor Life boat and Davidest, Musrom vents. We almost lost it. It is all recorded in the ships.
