Sailor: Earl F Nini

My brother Earl F Nini was on the USS Ramsay which was a WWI Destroyer conveerted to a mine sweeper on Dec 7 at Pearl Harbor. He survived the entire war in the Pacific but was tragically killed in 1957 in a truck accident. I am writting a family history and one of the most signifcant events in our family's lifetime was Dec 7. I never had the chance to talk to him about the actual events of that day and I would like for that part of his life to be included in our history.

I would like to hear from anyone who may have been on the Ramsay on that fateful Sunday morning or who may have seerved with my brother later. Or anyone who may have been on the either the Montgomery, the Gamble(?) or the Breese(?) all four of these boats were anchored off Beckoning Point on the 7th.

Tom Brokaw is right these guyes didn't talk about it they just did it and I want him and all of you to get the credit you deserve.
