Great Great Grand Nephew.

Just ran across the Memorial Day Menu of the USS Chattanooga, anchored in Yokohama, Japan on May 30th, 1909. On the back is written 'This is my bill a fare, I will send it to your so you will know I have plenty to eat. your kid, H.E. Black 29th May.'.

I believe that H.E. Black was my great grandmother's brother. The menu reads:

Sweet Pickles Queen Olives Roast Turkey Giblet Dressing Cranberry Sauce Mashed Potatoes Baked Sweet Potatoes Sugar Corn Sugar Cured Ham Apple Pies Chocolate Layer Cake Plain Cake Apples Bananas Cigars Coffee Lemonade.
