St. Johns (SP-3710), an iron-plated, side-wheel.

steamer built in 1878 by Harlan and Hollingsworth Wilmington, Del., operated out of the 8th Street Wharf at Washington, D.C., until she was chartered on 26 June 1917 from C.H. St. Johns.

Assigned to the 5th Naval District, St. Johns was used by the Navy during World War I as a fleet tender, carrying both freight (primarily coal) and passengers. She was decommissioned and returned to her owner at Norfolk, Va., on 10 June 1919.
