Scarpe

Scarpe (SP-713), a wooden motor boat built by W. S. Burgess, Marblehead, Mass., was delivered to the Navy, on loan, on 1 May 1917 and placed in service the same day, Ens. B. C. Watson, USNRF, in charge. During World War I, Scarpe served on section patrol in the 1st Naval District, headquartered at Boston. After the war, she was retained for brief service, then returned to her owner, F. F. Fields, Brockton, Mass., on 16 May 1919.
