Madrono Str

Madrono, an iron-bulled lighthouse tender built at Camden, N.J., in 1885; was acquired by the Navy during World War I; and commissioned 27 November 1917.

Madrono operated on patrol out of San Francisco Bay until returned, by Executive order of 4 July 1919, to the custody of the Department of Commerce with the Lighthouse Service.
