Wilmer

(Gy: a. 1 12-par. (l.)

Wilmer—a wooden-hulled galley—was built on Lake Champlain in 1808. Few records concerning this craft exist, but it is known that, under the command of Sailing Master Daniel S. Stellwagen, she participated in the Battle of Lake Champlain as part of Commodore Thomas MacDonough's squadron on 11 September 1814. She was sold at Whitehall, N.Y., in July of 1815.
