Peter Demill

Peter Demill, a merchantman purchased by the Navy at New London, Conn., 9 November 1861 for use in the "Stone Fleet," was beached with South America and Cossack 8 December 1861 to serve as a wharf during the landing of troops at Tybee Island, Gal, at the mouth of the Savannah River.
