Boston

Boston is the capital of Massachusetts.

(Gondola: cpl. 45; a. 1 18-pdr. S. B., 2 12-pdr. S. B.)

The gondola Boston was built at Skenesborough (present day Whitehall), N. Y., in 1776. She took part in the Battle of Lake Champlain that delayed the British invasion and was burned to avoid capture by the British squadron at Buttonniold Bay, N. Y., 13 October 1776.
