There seems to be some confusion in the DOD reports about the location of the incident.
The NorthEast Mississipi Daily Journal reported on July 18, 2005, that he died from injuries received when a bomb exploded near a vehicle he was searching in Iskandariyah, ~30 miles S. of Baghdad and that his unit was attached to the 155th BCT
