January 30th 2006 Saddam Hussein Executed

At 6:00 AM on the morning of January 30th Saddam Hussein was executed by the Iraqi government. Hussein had been deposed by the American invasion of Iraq. Saddam was executed after being convicted by an Iraqi court for his part in the killing of 148 Shite Muslims from Dujail 18 years earlier. Hussein was executed before the conclusions of other trails for acts while he was the leader of Iraq.
