In this section we will try to post a few of the most interesting events as they unfold relating to the 2008 elections

November 13th - Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani announced that he is founded an exploratory committee to examine his options to run for the Presidency in 08.

November 16th - Senator John Machin announced that he was forming an exploratory committee to examine whether he should run for President in 2008.

December 4th 2006 - Senator Sam Brownback announced the formation of a Presidential Exploratory Committee

January 11th, 2007- Senator Christopher Dodd announced in a call to the Imus in the morning show that he was running for President

January 12th- CNN has announced that it will host the first Presidential debates in New Hampshire on April 4th and 5th. This is earlier then earlier before.

January 16th - Senator Barack Obama announced that he officially forming a Presidential Exploratory Committee

January 20th- Both Senator Hilary Clinton(D) and Senator Sam Brownback(R) announced that they were seeking their respective parties nomination for President.

January 21- Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico announced that he will seek the Democratic nomination for President.

January 28- Former Arkansas Huckalbee announced that he was forming an exploratory committee to win the Republican nomination for President

February 2 - Senator Joseph Biden announced that he would pursue the Democratic nomination for President.

February 10- Senator Barack Obama announced that he would pursue the nomination for President.

February 13-2007 - Mitt Romney the former Republican governor of Massachusetts announced he was seeking the Republican nomination for President.

February 23 2007- Governor Tom Vilsack of Iowa withdrew from the race for the democratic nomination for the President. He claimed that his inability to raise money was the cause

July 9, 2007- Senator John Mcain announces that his chief advisors have quit and his campaign is nearly out of money.

July 15, 2007 -Former Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore announced that he is withdrawing from the race for the Republican nomination for President saying he cannot raise the money to continue.

September 6, 2007 - Former Senator Thompson announced that he is running for the Republican nomination for President

October 19, 2007 - Republican Sam Brownback of Kansas withdrew from the race for the Republican nomination for the Presidency. Brownbak failed to raise enough money to make his candidacy viable.

December 19, 2007 - Congressman Tom Tancredo withdrew from the race to beome the Republican nominee for President. He endorsed Mitt Romney

January 3, 2008- Governor Mike Huckabee wins the Republican Caucus in Iowa, while Senator Barak Obama wins on the democratic side

January 8th- Hilary Clinton won an upset victory in the New Ha

January 22, 2008 Former Senator Thompson announced that he is withdrawing from the race for the Republican nomination.

January 30, 2008 Former Senator Edwards Withdrew from the Democratic race for the nomination

January 30, 2008 Former Mayor Guiliani Withdrew from the Republican race for the presidential nomination- he threw his support behind Senator McCain

February 4th - Super Tuesday- McCain wins the largest number of delegates in the Republican primary making it nearly impossible for anyone else to win. In the democratic race Obama and Cllinton split the contests, with Obama winning the most states while Clinton won the largest states, including New York and California

February 6th- Mitt Romney withdrew from the race.

February 9th- Huckabee wins Kansas. Obama wins Nebraska and Washington State
