The events in Iraq and the publication of "Plan of Attack" by Bob Woodward dominated the Presidential campaign during the week. Plan of Attack was seized upon by both supporters and opponents of the Presidents to support their opinion of the President. The high death toll in fighting in Iraq resulted in a sharp drop of support for the war according to opinion polls at the same time this did not result in a drop in support for the President.
