Francisco de Miranda Forments Rebellion

Francisco de Miranda a Spanish Creole worked tirelessly between 1790 and 1806 attempting to achieve independence for the Spanish colonies of South America. He attempted to secure the assistance of the United States, France and Great Britain. In 1806 he organized an expedition to liberate Venezuela. He captured Coro, but the expedition failed.
