Renaissance Technology
The Renaissance saw the revival of serious scientific inquiry. The most important technological development during the period was the development of the printing press. The father of the printing press with removable type is cJohannes Gutenberg who in 1455 printed the Gutenberg bible on his press. The invention of the printing press allowed knowledge to spread. No longer would reading be limited to a small group of people.
