Israeli Responds to Attacks

July 13� 2006, Israeli responded to the attack on its Northern border by attacking Hezbollah positions throughout Lebanon.� It also placed Lebanon under a virtual blockade, cutting off Beirut�s International airport.� At the same time Hezbollah fired 120 Katyusha rockets at Israel, killing 2 people one in Naharia and the second in Safed, and wounding an additional 200.� It also attacked Haifa for the first time.
