Ozette (YTB-541) was laid down 20 February 1945 by Consolidated Shipbuilding Corp., Morris Heights, N.Y., Iaunched 14 May 1945; and commissioned 31 Octobcr 1945.

Assigned to the 1st Naval District, Boston, Ozette provided harbor services there until 1949, when she was re-assigned, to the Advanced Bases, Atlantic, an area of operation that kept her busy until 1958 when she returned to Boston. Redesignated YTM-541 in February 1962, she continues to operate at Boston into 1970.
