Bombard (AMc-128) was reclassified AM-151, 21 February 1942; launched 23 February 1943 by Tampa ShipbuildIng Co., Inc., Tampa, Fla.; sponsored by Mrs. Vivian Broadwater; and commissioned 31 May 1944, Lieutenant D. M. Elder, USXR, in command.
On 29 August 1944 Bombard arrived at Tutuila, Samoa, where she conducted anti-submarine patrols until 2 September when she departed for Pearl Harbor and San Francisco. She reach~d San Francisco 22 September and ten days later go7t underway for Alaska. She carried out patrol and minesweeping duties in Alaskan waters until decommissioned and transferred to the U. S. S. R., 18 July 1945 under Lend-Lease. Bombard remains in Russian hands. She was reclassified MSP-151, 7 February 1955.
