Lucille Ball

1911- 1989

Comedian

Lucille Ball, America's favorite comedienne, began her show business career as an RKO movie studio contract player and on radio. In 1951, she teamed with her real-life husband, Desi Arnaz, to create television's "I Love Lucy," which reigned as America's most popular program. Though she and Arnaz ultimately divorced, Ball continued to perform on television as well as in films.
