Treaty of Basel

The French and Austrians reached a Peace agreement at Basel Switzerland on April 5, 1795. Under the terms of the treaty France returned all of the lands captured during the war with the exception of land along the west side of the Rhine. On July 22nd Spain and France made peace. It ceded two thirds of the island of Haiti to France.
