US Army Received B-17 Bomber

On March 1st, 1937 the US Army Air Corps received the first of its order of 13 B-17 bombers. These four engine bombers could cruse at a speed of 256 mph at an altitude to 30,000 feet. The B-17 ws to be the main US Strategic bomber in Europe during World War II
