The Pioneering Years

1793- First Hydrogen Balloon

 

On December 1st 1793, Parisian Physicist, Jacques Charles, flew the first balloon filled with an element lighter then air- hydrogen. The balloon flew for 27 miles with Charels and Noel Roberts inside.
