1966 737 Flown

On April 9th the first flight of the Boeing 737 took place. the plane was designed to fly on flights that requried a jet even smaller then the 727. The 737 used many parts common to other Boeing aircraft thus minimizing maintenance costs. The 737 is the most successful airliner in history. In the year 2003 it is still in produciton.
