1970 DC-10 Flown

On November 16th 1970 the Lockheed Tri-Star made its first flight. The aircraft which was Lockheeds first passenger plane since the Electra almost bankrupted the company. It was the major factror in the bankruptcy of Roll Royce. Eastern Airlines became the first airline to fly the plane commercially in April 1972.
