1951 US Airforce Buys Canberra

For the first time since 1918, the US decided to manufacture an Englsih plane under license. The light bomber the "Canberra" was manufactured by Glenn Martin under license from English Electro. The airforce designated the Canberra the "B-57" and purchased 403 of the aircraft.
