1968 C5A Flown

On June 30th 1968 Lockheed began flight testing its new Galaxy C-5A transport. The plane can carry up to 265,000 pounds and was designed to carry oversized heavy equipment such as tanks. The aircraft is 247 feet long and has a wingspan of 222 feet.
