1975 Boeing SP

Boeing unveiled the 747SP in 1975. The new version of the Boeing 747 was 48 feet shorter then the original 747. This gave it the ability to land on shorter runways and fly further non-stop. The 747SP allowed the introduction of non-stop service between New York and Tokyo.
