I have lived in Israel on and off since 1975. I have a deep understanding of the country and its history.
Current Work
Author of "Tel Aviv Diary," a daily newsletter analyzing Israeli events published on Substack. Frequent paid commentator on I24News with 2-3 appearances weekly. Weekly radio guest on the Bob Harden Show (WGUF, Naples, FL).
Previous Roles
Newsweek columnist (2014-2023) covering Middle Eastern politics and defense. Founder and President of Historycentral, Inc. (1993-2018), developing history apps and the largest history website.

BA in Economics & Urban Studies, Columbia College (1972-1975). MA in Political Science, Columbia University (1985-1987).
Additional Experience
Founding president of Westchester/Fairfield Hebrew Academy. Adjunct professor at SUNY Purchase. Various leadership positions with Jewish and Israeli organizations. Apple developer since 1984. Publications include numerous history-focused apps, books on presidential elections, the Civil War, and extensive digital history content.
