The President then met with representatives of the large banks. The goal of the meeting was to push the banks to loan more to help the economy grow.

In the afternoon the President met with President Sleiman of Lebanon. At that meeting the President stressed the need to limit the smuggling of arms to Hezbollah. Remarks
