The second major component of the program is the section on major civilization. Each civilization has a summary of the history of the civilization, a section on art, religion and daily life. Most include an essay on the role of women in the civilization. Some have sections that are unique to a particular civiliation, such as separate entries on Athens and Sparta in the Greek civilization. Egypt, Greece and Rome each have multimedia presentations that summarize the history of the civilization.

The biography section includes brief biogarphies of some of the most important people in early history. This is not an inclusive list, there are many people who made important contributions to World History that are not listed here. Rather we felt it was impossible to talk about history without writing about some of the makers of history. It is our hope that in future versions of the program we will expand this section.
