| Apollo 9 was piloted by James McDivitt, David R. Scott and Russell L Schweickart. The main goal of Apollo 9 was the testing of the Lunar module. It was successfully flown for six hours. The mission also used a new space suit with a built-in back pack. Apollo 9 landed on March 13, after making 151 orbits. |
