Heavy Northern Pacific Ten Wheel Engine


The above engine was built by the Schnectady Locomotive Works for the Northern Pacific Railroad. It was custom made to the designs of the Superintendent of Motive Power E.M. Herr. Its boiler has a heating surface of 2,900 of square feet . The diameter of the cylinder is 22 inches and its storke is 26 inches . The weight is 172,500
