Egyptian Technolgoy

 


The technological achievement that the Egyptians are best known for are the building of the pyramids. The pyramids were part of a larger complex dedicated to deal. The pyramids were dedicated as a place to were the dead kings would be placed. With the dead kings extensive supplies as well jewlery and finery were placed. It was the Egyptian belief that if the body could be maintained and the tomb well furnished the spirit would continue to live.

The largest pyramid was the Great Pyramid. It was built under King Khufu at Giza around 2540 BC. The Great Pyramid covers 13 acres, it measured 756 feet on each side on the base, and was 481 feet high.
